Ascher Databook Notes:
  1. This is one of several khipus acquired by the Museum in 1907 with provenance Pachacamac. For a list of them, see UR1097.
  2. By spacing and markers, the khipu is separated into 4 parts. The first part is 4 groups, the second and third parts are 5 groups each, and the last part is 1 group. All groups have 4 pendants with the same color pattern: W, LB:W, W, W.
  3. All pendants in the group in the last part are zero-valued (or blank). None of the other pendants are zero-valued.
  4. In the first 3 parts , in every group, the pendant in the first position has the maximum value. The value exceeds the sum of the other 3 values in the group.
