  1. Construction note: The twisted end of cord 1 is linked through the twisted end of the main cord so that it dangles fromthe end of the main cord. (See diagram for KH00110.)
  2. This khipu was acquired by the Museum in 1895 with provenance Lima.
  3. Assuming that pendant cord 3 has value 81, the value on cord 1 is the sum of the pendant values and the value knotted on the main cord.
